Dr. Mark Powell
Dr. Mark Powell enjoys working with children, teenagers, and adults. His goal is to provide the highest level of personalized service. Since starting his private practice in 1987, Dr. Powell has enjoyed treating more than 20,000 orthodontic patients. Through continuing education, he also strives to learn about new, innovative orthodontic developments to ensure his patients are always receiving the most advanced orthodontic care available.
Dr. Powell has always had a passion for healthcare and science. He attended Alma College, and received a Bachelor of Science in biology. He completed professional training at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1985 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Then he was accepted to Indiana University, where he earned his Master of Science in orthodontics in 1987, and the faculty presented him with the Robert Farnsworth Award for the outstanding orthodontic graduate.
Dr. Powell has a strong dedication to the community and supports many sports and academic endeavors through the local schools.
Dr. Powell and his wife Shari reside in Hudsonville with their three daughters: Brittani, Breanna, and Ali. They enjoy the outdoors, sports, and spending time together as a family.
Dr. Breanna Powell
Dr. Breanna Powell is very excited to be working alongside her father in practice and to continue creating beautiful smiles for people of all ages in West Michigan. She is dedicated in providing the highest level of care utilizing the newest technologies. She strives to make every patient feel like part of her family.
She was born and raised in Hudsonville, MI, graduating from Hudsonville High school in 2007. She then attended Hope College where she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry in 2010. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2014. After graduation from dental school, she continued her education at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry where she earned her Master of Science in Orthodontics. Breanna is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Michigan Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
When she is not in the office, Dr. Bre enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Aaron, who is a 4th grade teacher at New Groningen Elementary in Zeeland. They love to play golf together and are getting married in July of 2017.
